The Quintessence of Life: New York City

A city as rich as New York, I have yet to see,

attractions for all people, attractions fit for me,

I say rich as in vibrant, harmonious, full;

I say not rich as in wealthy, minted, dull.

I enjoy the hustle and bustle; I need not take in

the museums and halls, for which I take it

a passion must be acquired, just like anything in travel,

unique to his own are the events to watch unravel.

I prefer Times Square, Wall Street, and Empire State,

while another strolls through nature, museums, and ponders till late.

Why urban life resonates with a soul such as mine,

is tied to the feeling, the drive, that it sparks inside.
